BILLY GAZ STATION

Combining the outstanding technique of a drummer, Matgaz, and the devastating emotion provided by Billy The Kill's guitar playing, BILLY GAZ STATION left a deep impression on the whining French rock'n'roll, thanks to a generous and colorful world and a warm and lush one-of-a-kind music, combining the passion of the 70's Heavy Rock and the romanticism and energy of the 90's Power Pop. While some compare them the Wildhearts, others sing their praise, mentioning to whom may want to listen, combos as diverse as The Hellacopters, Dinosaur Jr. or Black Sabbath.

Very quickly spotted by the label KICKING RECORDS after opening for monumental bands such as Supersuckers, Dinosaur Jr, or the soul sensation of The Black Diamond Heavies, the duo, which for an audience of connoisseurs changes bass player on each tour, appears on the label's first anniversary EP alongside with monsters such as THE BLACK ZOMBIE PROCESSION. This EP will be an appetizer to the first album "Skins & Licks" which came out in CD and LP in October 2008. Their first tour will follow, with 90 dates between the end of 2008 and 2009, which will take them to France, Switzerland, England and Scotland and will see their style improving with the miles. They will appear again on their favourite label's third anniversary's 7" split album alongside with TEENAGE RENEGADE and will bear KICKING's standards on the roads for a KICKING TOUR of 25 gigs in 25 days. In February 2010, a 12 gigs tour with the Norwegian songwriter Terje Nordgarden on bass will take them to Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.

Then the band wil deliver a Van Halen cover on the 7" tribute split they share with the Yankees of BLACK DIAMOND HEAVIES and will have a few gigs to keep the machine going ...

Now broken to the exercise of the stage, the studio and the road, BILLY GAZ STATION enters the studio again, this time with Paco Loco (The Posies, G.A.S Drummers...) to record this second album. Saying the band and their now official bass player has confirmed its style, mixing heavy and pop influences, is an understatement. This album is just the soundtrack to every emotion a LIVING human being is to feel along a day or a whole life. A road trip across the Australian desert, a break-up, a celebration whether he comes alone or in a tribe, the listener will find as much to dance on as to cry on.
